Friend or Foe in Divorce and Separation? Dr Google & Other Self Help.

It seems like every second day there is news of another celebrity couple who are separating or divorcing.

Professional sportspeople, movie stars, TV stars, you name it.

Karl Stefanovic and ex-wife Cassandra Thornburn split in 2016 and their separation was in the public spotlight for months.  Years later, Karl’s new relationship with Jasmine Yarborough (35) was a water cooler talking point for those who love a bit of gossip.

But is there anything we can learn from these so-called “celebrity break-ups”?

Seven West Media thinks so, announcing a new podcast series titled Divorce Story, co-hosted by journalist Annaliese Dent and Cassandra Thornburn, which according to the mother of three’s social media release, “will help people through what is one of the most difficult times of their lives”

The 12 part series started on March 4 and can be played through streaming platforms including Apple Podcasts

As specialist Family Lawyers, we encourage our clients to look for professional, tailored advice from a specialist Family Lawyer along with seeking general information to help support knowledge and emotional wellbeing, such as Podcasts and other similar content.

But one cannot substitute the other. Your Lawyer is there to give you tailored advice based on what your options are under the law. Likewise, things you read, watch or listen to on the internet are a great support in helping deal with the emotions but can’t be use as a reliable guide for your personal circumstances.

This isn’t the first time Separation and Divorce content has been produced, in fact it’s a very popular area here in Australia and overseas, due to the number of people who it affects.
